ABOUT CARMEN BALL
Hi, I’m Carmen. I see you — because I was you.
Sixteen years into dental hygiene, I was bored, burned out, unfulfilled — and having actual heart palpitations.
I was successful on paper. Miserable in practice.
If you’re a dental hygienist who’s wondering “is this really it?” — I see you. I’ve been you.
If you’re a trained myofunctional therapist who invested in the training, did the work, and still can’t get clients in the door — I see you too. I’ve been there.
Two different starting lines. Same root problem: nobody told you the truth about what it takes to build the next chapter.
That’s what I’m here to fix.
Then everything changed…
The short version of how I went from burned-out hygienist with heart palpitations to running a multi-six-figure myofunctional therapy business — and why I now help other women do the same.
01.
THIS HAPPENED
Sixteen years into dental hygiene, my body started telling me what my brain wouldn’t admit.
Heart palpitations. Bone-deep boredom. The kind of burnout that doesn’t get fixed by a vacation.
I had built a perfectly respectable career — and I was completely unfulfilled by it.
I knew I needed to do something different. I just didn’t know what yet.
If that sounds familiar — keep reading.
02.
I TOOK THE NEXT STEP
In 2016, I registered for myofunctional therapy training.
I started the work in January 2017. Saw my first paying client in May. By August 2018, I walked away from dental hygiene completely — and I never looked back.
But here’s the part nobody tells you: clinical training did not build my business.
I figured the business out the hard way. Pricing. Marketing. Sales. Systems. The CEO skills nobody teaches in a clinical program.
I earned an MBA along the way because I refused to keep guessing. I built the practice from scratch — solo, no team — and grew it past multi-six figures.
It wasn’t fast. It wasn’t pretty. But it worked.
03.
THIS IS WHERE I AM
Now I help dental hygienists who feel the way I felt — and trained myofunctional therapists who finished the training and still can’t get consistent clients — build the businesses their training never taught them how to run.
Because watching brilliant clinicians stay stuck for years when the answer is a few good decisions away? That’s the thing I refuse to let happen.
I’m not a guru. I’m not “an industry expert” in scare quotes. I’m a dental hygienist who got tired of the way things were, did the hard work, and now helps other women do the same.
Clinical skill does not build a business. CEO skills do.
B+ work changes lives. Ugly imperfect action wins. Decide, delete the doubt, dominate.
If that resonates — you’re in the right place.
My goal isn't to train the most therapists. My goal is to help the right ones turn their training into businesses they're actually bonkers about — businesses that pay them, protect their time, and let them help the people who need this work. That's the mission. That's it.

IN THEIR WORDS
The real proof? My students.
Here’s what happens when burned-out hygienists and stuck therapists decide to do the work.
WHY I DO THIS
The real reason I show up every single day.
I spent sixteen years being really good at something that was slowly hollowing me out. And when I finally made the leap, the thing that surprised me most wasn’t how hard it was. It was how many other women were sitting in the exact same chair I’d been sitting in — burned out, trained, capable — and completely convinced that they were the problem.
They weren’t the problem. The roadmap was missing.
That’s the thing I can’t unknow. And that’s why I do this.
READY TO TALK?
Let’s find out if I can help.
Every time I get on an Unstuck Call with a hygienist who’s been white-knuckling it through another year in the op, or a trained therapist who finished the training and still can’t get consistent clients — I remember exactly what that feels like. The answer isn’t more clinical training. It’s a plan, and someone handing you the map.
That’s what this call is.
You’ll leave with a clear next step — whether or not you ever work with me.
